Jessica Simpson has finally set the date! According to an In Touch Weekly tipster, the singer will say “I Do” to her unemployed fiance, Eric Johnson, at 11.11 AM on November 11, 2011 – exactly a year after her ex-football star beau, 31, proposed.
“Eleven is their lucky number and it couldn’t have more 11s,” says an insider of the date, which was picked with the help of a numerologist.
Simpson — whose lifestyle/fashion empire is valued at an estimated $1 billion — will shell out close to $100,000 on wining, dining, and hosting guests at the plush St. Regis Princeville Resort on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. Jess wants a local paster not her minister dad, Joe, to marry the couple in a beachfront ceremony. Joe, who also happens to be Jessica’s manager, didn’t officiate at his eldest daughter’s first wedding to singer Nick Lachey either.
And this time around, the entrepreneur’s sparing no expense in the lead-up to the big event. She hired $150,000 wedding planner extraordinaire Mindy Weiss, who is expected to give Prince William and Princess Catherine’s royal extravaganza a run for its money.
In addition to Weiss’ six-figure salary, Simpson’s ponying up $50,000 on airfare for guests, $25,000 for hair and makeup for the wedding party, and $10,000 on flowers.
“Jessica will be spending upward of $1 million, easily. She’s picking up the tab for everything,” says a loose-lipped informant close to the 30-year-old singer-turned-stylista. “She’s flying more than 50 family members and friends to spend a week partying with her and Eric in Hawaii.”
