New York Dolls "Actress: Birth Of The New York Dolls"
Before Johansen, and before the New York Dolls were the Dolls, there was Actress.
Captured here are some of their 1971 demos with Johnny Thunders on vocals and guitar, along with Arthur "Killer" Kane on bass, Rick Rivets on guitar and Billy Murcia on drums. A definite pre-cursor to their future musical paths, you can hear early incarnations of some Dolls songs on the tracks "That's Poison" and "It's Too Late". A must for any Dolls or Thunders fan.
Tracklist:
1) That's Poison
2) I Am Confronted
