Lenny Kravitz is joining the cast of The Hunger Games.
The Grammy-winning rocker has been tipped for the role of Cinna, Katniss Everdeen’s (Jennifer Lawrence) personal stylist in the big-screen adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ novel.
Director Gary Ross says Kravitz was a natural choice: “When I saw Lenny’s work in Precious I was just knocked out. It was quiet and strong and understated and open hearted; all qualities which define this character…”
Lenny made his acting debut as a nurse in the critically-acclaimed 2009 film Precious. He also made a previous cameo in the box office comedy Zoolander. He’s slated to drop his ninth studio album, Black and White America, on Aug. 30.
