The Police - Ghost In The Machine

On this date in 1981, The Police released their fourth album, Ghost In The Machine. It contained the singles, "Invisible Sun" (#2 U.K.), "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" (#1 U.K., #3 U.S.), "Spirits In The Material World" (#12 U.K., #11 U.S.), "Secret Journey" (#46 U.S.) and "One World (Not Three)". The album, itself, reached the top spot on the U.K. albums chart and the #2 spot on the U.S. albums chart. The London new wave band disbanded in 1984. They have been touring together the last couple of years.
